CONCERT OF HOPE - Friday, Feb 6, 2009 - 7pm
Rev. Dr. J. Talbert, Pastor of Faith Tabernacle of Prayer, cordially invites you to the Watoto Children’s Choir “Concert of Hope” on Friday, February 6, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. This energetic and inspirational Concert, with performing members from Uganda (Africa), promises to be a grand event in celebration of Black History month.
Since 1994, Watoto Children’s Choirs have toured internationally spreading a message of hope for Africa’s children. The choir presents Watoto’s vision and mission through their music and dance, which is an energetic fusion of inspirational, contemporary gospel, and traditional African rhythm. The children are among 1.8 million boys and girls in Uganda who have had the tragic experience of losing one or both of their parents to AIDS or war. Now, through their inspiring performances, the Watoto Children’s Choir is moving the hearts of people around the world as they share their stories of joy and hope.
On Thursday, February 5, the Choir will perform during the time of the National Prayer Breakfast before thousands from around the world at the Washington Hilton Hotel and before Members of Congress and an African delegation of Ambassadors on Capitol Hill. The Concert will be held at Allen Chapel AME Church located at 2498 Alabama Avenue S.E. We hope your schedule will permit you to attend the Concert on Friday, February 6. Admission is free. Please RSVP at your earliest convenience to 202.678.6012 or via your response to this e-mail at

Please come and be my special guest. Thank you, God bless you, and I look forward to seeing you at the Concert, Friday, February 6th.
