Housing Counseling Services (HCS)—a DC based non-profit will offer free Foreclosure Prevention Clinics to help homeowners in danger of losing their homes. Clients will receive information and individual counseling to help them identify their realistic options for avoiding foreclosure and “foreclosure rescue scams.”

A new DC law gives DC homeowners in danger of losing their homes the right to seek mediation with their lender in order to avoid foreclosure.  Learn about the benefits of mediation and how to navigate the mediation process.
