Markus Batchelor Says, "Let's Say 'No' To Bickering"

If I had the ability to clone I would make a whole army of Markus Batchelors. At 18 this young man has more sense, tact, and class than 'woliticians'  (I just made that up) twice his age. This must be why he was one of my first 'I am Ward 8' honorees.  Just when we think that Ward 8 politics is lost, Markus reminds us that it is about public service, not personal promotion.

Markus wrote a post on the subject of bickering that I felt compelled to share. It reminded me of my, "Don't be a crab'' campaign of two years ago.  I could totally relate and after today's lastest adolescent shenanigans on Twitter I think we could all use a refresher course on how to be classy or at least not combative. You have to admit that it is kind of ironic that it takes a teenager to tell us "grown"folks how to be mature. :)

Something I found on Google.

As BenHarris_1 so eloquently stated in this tweet which needs to be a on a t-shirt ASAP:

Twitter: ruin your reputation in 140 characters or less!

Excerpt:
Solution: Elected Officials Have some class!  Citizens It’s sometimes the fault of we, the voters, for electing officials who have questionable public personas and in other instances it kind of just sneaks up on us. But we need to not only keep our officials accountable for doing the work they need to do, but also to behave in a way conducive of an elected official, but more importantly, a representative of the people. Usually, those go hand in hand. Personally, anyone who acts less than civilized in the public sphere or behind the closed doors of our government will never get my vote.
