The Government of District of Columbia, through the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED), seeks to begin fulfilling its vision at St Elizabeths East by redeveloping four parcels that comprise the first phase of ground up development.
DMPED invites qualified teams of developers to respond to its Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI), linked above, for the mixed use development of four distinct parcels totaling approximately seven acres at St Elizabeths East, a 180-acre historic property located in southeast Washington, D.C.
The District's vision at St Elizabeths East responds to market need for the creation of 21st century places that combine business, research, and higher education in a collaborative environment. These places are not easy to create since they require large land parcels, urban surroundings, technology infrastructure, proximity to multi-modal transportation, and direct access to robust economic markets - all of which are available at St Elizabeths East.
There will be a Pre-Response Conference and Site Visit held at St Elizabeths East on Wednesday January 16, 2013 at 10:30AM - further details are available within the RFEI document.
