Washington DC Crowdfunding Challenge
Attention Great Streets Grantees,
We are excited to announce a new opportunity for you to raise money for your business!
DMPED has partnered with National Crowdfunding Services (NCS) to pilot crowdfunding for District small businesses. Specifically, NCS will provide crowdfunding consultation services to six (6) selected Great Streets grantees through a program called the Washington DC Crowdfunding Challenge.
Crowdfunding is a method of raising capital in small amounts from a large group of people using the Internet and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). Unlike obtaining funds from a bank, venture capitalists or angel investors, individuals will be asked to make micro investments or donations to a business, thus allowing the business owner to reach their funding goal without strict regulations.
