“We are searching for a talented and professional Community Outreach Coordinators (OCs) to implement grass-roots organizing activities in renter communities. OCs will represent the Renters Alliance and work with the management team to develop and implement initiatives that increase the Renters’ Alliance visibility and initiate organizing strategies within Montgomery County apartment complexes, in key meetings with diverse groups and individuals and at public events. OCs will work directly with renters to educate them about their rights and responsibilities, resolve disputes between landlords and tenants and guide renters to available resources.
OCs need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic and community-driven to take on this exciting role. This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player and a good sense of humor. Ideal candidates will have experience working in diverse communities, be resourceful, discreet and possess good judgement. Knowledge of current rental housing issues, law and polices preferred, but not initially required.”
