Girls Gotta Run Foundation is the first and only organization investing in girls who are using running an education to empower themselves and their communities in Ethiopia. Founded in 2007, GGRF is dedicated to using the national sport of running as an innovative approach to creating safe spaces, ending child marriage, and expanding access to secondary school for vulnerable girls. GGRF programs focus on four key investment strategies for girls and their mothers: education, running, life skills, and savings and entrepreneurship. In collaboration with the Executive Director and Board, the Development Officer is responsible for creating and implementing fundraising strategies to increase the financial sustainability and growth of Girls Gotta Run Foundation. This role involves cultivating relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and other stakeholders, prospecting new fundraising opportunities, grant writing, as well as coordinating fundraising events and campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Girls Gotta Run Foundation’s mission, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in fundraising and development. This is a part-time position.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or a related role.
Proven success in securing major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and/or grant funding.
Strong writing skills with experience in grant writing and donor communications.
Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with donor management software and fundraising tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail.
