🌟 Registration is OPEN for Early-Childhood Program East of the River and Beyond [SP]

Mayor Muriel Bowser and the DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) have EXPANDED its early-childhood program, Cooperative Play (Co-Op), to two new locations East of the River at Bald Eagle and Marvin Gaye Recreation Centers. There are also locations all over the city. 

Registration for this program is NOW OPEN for the upcoming season starting in September, so take advantage.  DPR is also hosting open houses for parents to drop in and see the program in action.

Co-Op blends social development with structured recreation and is staffed by DPR early-childhood professionals between the hours of 9 a.m.-12 noon, Monday - Friday. 

The program is a weekday playgroup servicing children ages 18 months to 4 years old, split into two age groups: 18-29 months and 2 ½- 4 years old.

NEW LOCATIONS:

  • Bald Eagle Rec Center (100 Joliet Street SW) 

  • Marvin Gaye Rec Center (15 61st Street NE)
