MPD 7th District and Congress Heights homeowners come together to combat crime
Last night members of the Metropolitan Police Department, including Assistant Chief Diane Groomes, Captain Daniel Aurigemma (7th District), Lt. Peter Larsen of PSA 705, and officers from the Third Watch Program met with over 30 homeowners from the Savoy Court Condominiums to discuss crime prevention techniques, MPD initiatives , and ways that citizens and 7D police officers can work together to make their streets safer.
Homeowners and residents were encourged to continue to do their part to keep their neighborhood a safe, quiet and enjoyable place to live. It was a great meeting with a lot of interesting and informative dialogue.
Residents and property owners of PSA 705 are reminded that PSA 705 meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm at the UPO Petey Greene Center located at 2907 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.
Residents are also encouraged to enroll in MPD's Third Watch Program. To learn more about the Third Watch Program go HERE.
