Jan 10 | Community meeting to discuss new Anacostia art initiative
More great news folks! This is a very exciting project, very "illuminating" if I can say so myself. This will be the first of it's kind project for Anacostia and Ward 8 and we can't wait to discuss it with the community. I can't stress enough how important it is to attend this meeting, especially local business owners and artists. Until then!

ARCH Development Corporation, in partnership with the DC Office of Planning and the DC Commission on the Arts will be discussing their plans to bring a community wide arts program in historic Anacostia in spring 2012. The project, LUMEN8ANACOSTIA is intended to be a transformative arts initiative that strives to engage vacant and blighted buildings through the use of light, ingenuity and innovation.
Anacostia residents, business leaders, and artists are strongly encouraged to attend this informational meeting.
