$50,000 reward offered to ID suspect in homicide of Karon Brown, 11

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection to a homicide that occurred on Thursday, July 18, 2019, in the 2700 block of Naylor Road, Southeast.
At approximately 6:57 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of the sounds of gunshots. While investigating, MPD was notified that a juvenile male, suffering from a gunshot wound, was taken to a Prince George’s County Fire Department Fire Station. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. After all lifesaving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 11 year-old Karon Brown, of Southeast, DC.
The suspect is described as a Black male, 20 to 30 years of age, with a medium complexion, a medium build, wearing black pants, and no shirt. The suspect was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photos below:
In partnership with MPD, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has offered an additional $15,000 and the FBI Washington Field Office has offered an additional $10,000 to the reward of $25,000 for information which leads to an arrest and conviction of the suspect in this case.
