It’s almost that time of year again! The community is coming together to celebrate and support local students at the annual Back to School Backpack Drive & Block Party, a day filled with fun, resources, and empowerment.
Hosted at the Sigma House, this year’s event is presented in partnership with the Beta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. and the Organization for Love of Children (FLOC). Families can expect:
✔️ Free backpacks and school supplies
✔️ Free haircuts and braids
✔️ Music and community fun
✔️ Light refreshments, courtesy of FLOC
Registration is required — one per child, and children must be present to receive a backpack, haircut, or braids.
This beloved tradition is all about investing in our youth and giving them a confident start to the school year. Don’t miss out!
